Supporting the Emotions and Intensity of Gifted Children: Exploring Outcomes and the Experience of Parents Participating in a Workshop Series 

Dr. Alison Bell 

Dr. Alison Bell is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over two decades of experience supporting neurodiverse children, teens and their families to navigate challenges, emotional intensity, and mental health and well-being. Dr. Bell’s presentation will present key results from a gifted-specific, emotion-focused parenting workshop series, including outcome patterns and themes that emerged from parents' experiences with their gifted children’s emotions and intensity. Her talk will also introduce the workshop model developed through her research and highlight practical, research-informed strategies. 

Registration:  

Cost is $15 per person or $20 for couples; $5 for GCABC members in good standing.
