Parents as Partners: Experiences, Needs and Collaborations for Gifted Parents in BC

In 2022, 145 parents of gifted children in BC completed a survey developed by the Gifted Children’s Association and Dr. Debbie Clelland from Adler University. We are now ready to share those results!  This presentation will involve Dr. Debbie Clelland sharing:

-The research results about parents’ experiences and needs
-Some ideas for addressing concerns and resources for support

Parents will have opportunity to meet with others who have children in the same school district/school, sharing local information and advocacy ideas. LMGC members will also join in these discussions.

Presenter Biography:

Dr. Debbie Clelland has been working as a counsellor educator since 2008. She has been volunteering with the Gifted Children’s Association of BC fairly consistently since 2004, and has recently opened a small private practice providing counselling and consultations to gifted adults and parents: http://www.DebbieClelland.com
